I have found an annoyance with our air source heat pump.
The house is at say a pleasant 21C but I don't want the heating to come on if the house is above 18C.
Accordingingly I dial in 18C .. and the heat pump then activates some sort of 'extra cooling' mode.
Not what I had intended at all.
Thermostats should have a Lowest Acceptable setting and an Ideal setting.
