First earlies planted

Post by Stumuz2 »

8 x charlotte early pots panted today. Under double cover. Glass cold frame 4Hx 4W X 8L with an inner of old poly tunnel plastic. Results were excellent last year with new potatoes ready for the table mid April.
The taste is out of this world, and all the money in China cannot buy them in the shops!

Are those dimensions in feet or metres?
The latest bed of potatoes I unearthed a few days ago were disappointing in numbers but the soil was very heavy and needs a lot of organic matter next time I think. Corn planted now and doing well. Will be ready within a month. After that the peas will go in.

Down Under the weather was scorching hot +35C until yesterday when it rained. Two extra water tanks were purchased with one already installed. New raised bed also installed.
G'Day cobber!
