It seems folk are so focused on the UK election spectacle that Trump's rose garden performance, where he confirmed how much he has been bought by big oil and big coal, has gone quietly unoted.

I pretty much hold the same point of view. Agreed Trump's announcement was no surprise and the Paris agreement highly flawed. However the continuing Trump narrative of enemies without, walls surrounding the lager and total resource exploitation and use is eerily reminiscent of the Easter Island story.
