21st century nuclear power needs a 21st century subsidy... no blank cheques this time - just an apparently green tweak to the emissions trading system, and voila!

Daft article from The Ecologist, yet again. For all of nuclear's negative aspects and there are lots, CO2 isn't one of them though. Nuclear is a relative low carbon source of energy, no higher than gas even when exclusively low grade ores are used which isn't the case today.
