Is nuclear fission going to make a comeback and plug the gap in our energy needs? Will nuclear fusion ever become energetically viable?

A 'business as usual' route to the Hydrogen economy as envisaged by Senator Larry Craig, chums and guests of the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.

The road map to the Next Generation Nuclear Plant (NGNP) is discussed.

As well as producing electricity the NGNP is envisaged as a source of process heat and Hydrogen. Public Private partnership with international particapation ( the man from Areva is a witness) and a very agressive timetable are proposed. They're all gagging for it and just cant wait - certainly not for the normal planning application and certification process, which one gets the impression will be swept into the dustbin of history to make way for something somewhat more integrated and rapido...

...so thats all right then. Problem solved. Coal. Nuclear, renewables. Easy Peasy.
