I had my SolarTwin pump serviced recently by Peter at http://solarproject.co.uk

Very reasonable charge, great service, plus he assisted me enormously when re-commissioning the SolarTwin panel following a re-roofing job.

He has loads of info about building your own version of SolarTwin and is highly knowledgeable, patient and helpful.

Genfit, who took over SolarTwin, didn't come across as particularly useful as they could have when I had a couple of problems. Plus (far more importantly) they charge the earth for everything. Their prices are astronomical. A replacement SolarTwin pump from them is over £300 plus shipping whereas a renovation of the old pump from Peter was less than £30 including shipping.

I installed a bespoke solar hot water system about a decade ago. We moved house but now rent out the old house. The water pump died, and the original installer has long since moved on, so I found it very difficult to find anyone to take on replacing it.

One company promised to do the work but over the period of 2 months failed to turn up on 4 out of 5 occasions. In the end I gave up and didn't pay them for the one time they did turn up as the pump was not replaced. They haven't chased me for payment.

The current tenants don't seem to care about the cost savings the system would give them, but it really annoys me that the system is idle.

Peter's your man. He really could not have been more helpful, a very nice person indeed.
