100 watt solar panel.

Is Solar Power going to give the UK the energy it needs for the 21st century?

100 watt solar panel.

Post by vtsnowedin »

The UPS truck just dropped off a 100 watt solar panel kit I ordered. It all was in good shape and I set it up on my deck to check functionality. Hooked to a12V deep cycle marine battery it went right to work bumping the voltage from 12.6 to 13.4. My cell phone is now charging off the USB port provided with the controller.
Now to get it mounted onto the roof of my shooting shack and feeding the electric fencer around my food plots and upper garden.
All as advertised and worth the $115.

Cheap, especially if it included a controller. It's about €90-some or £80-ish.

Straight out of China of course. I don't expect it to last anywhere near what is advertised. Perhaps that will change in the next year or two. I hope so.

All mounted on the high hide roof now and wired into the DC lights and feeding the electric fence guarding a food plot and garden. Controller indicated 13.1 volts in late afternoon setting sun.
My fist step into practical solar power is now complete.
