A organization in Colorado ITN did a govt. study within a NREL grant from about 1997 to 2003 on rectenna technology. They identified that the technology is available these days to go into generation run scales that would create the technology cost-effective. The hangup was the genuine retifying diodes essential to get the higher frequency light and make a DC voltage that can be used to invert to household AC. That technological innovation was not available during the time of the study. Is it available today?
