The money from taxpayer's pockets determined to develope alternative energies is ending up in the military's hands....
Have we ever seen a car commercially available powered by gunpowder, by plutonium or by hydrogen? They're taking us for a ride again .....
Producing PV cells with a 50% efficiency will lead to drones flying silently to some remote village and dropping bombs and mines.

I think getting the cost per peak watt down is far more important that increasing the area efficiency.
