Jericho - nuclear attack "end of the world" series

I have just come across "Jericho", a US series about a small town which survives a surprise nuclear attack on the US.
It's on YouTube, with each episode being about 45 mins long.
Search for: Jericho episode 1
to get the first full length episode.
Repeat for episode 2 etc.
There are several episodes, although I've only seen 3 so far.
It's not Shakespeare ... but plain simple fun for "Survivors" fans.

UPDATE: having watched 12 episodes I recommend that you DON'T!
It's a soap with a very weak link to pragmatic reality.
Waste of time.

I agree. OK idea but, but, but.
Alright, it's entertaining, which was its purpose. A typical American happy ending.
Better (narrowly) is
Revolution, which depicts a world without electricity but strangely where no-one is malnourished or lacks hygiene (or even rarely sleeps, eats and never shits, so it seems).
There's about 60 gigs'-worth of the two series out there. Starts pretty believable - oil lamps/candles/muskets/bicycles but the second series has descended into relying on sci-fi to get out of tight situations. Lots of good ol' gun battles and throat-slitting.
Fail.

I enjoyed watching the first couple episodes of Jericho. The initial reactions to such an event are interesting.

Both series - Jericho and Revolution - are basically gun totin' cowboys and pesky injuns: America's narrative yesterday, today and tomorrow.

I'm surprised that VT hasn't had something to say about the end of the world series!
