First look inside my new book if anybody is interested...
https://www.geoffdann.co.uk/a-first-loo ... le-plants/
This will be the first foraging book since the 1950s to come from a perspective of food insecurity (as opposed to high cuisine, romanticising hunter-gathering and bear-grylls style military survivalism). 15 Page introductory section all about the limits to growth and the beginings of collapse.
Here's the most collapse-related material I can share at this point. I want to keep my powder dry on the intro section. I am expecting it to cause a bit of a reaction, shall we say, when it goes on general release in January. It will be considered extremely political by some people, though it is actually just hard realism. I will be selling pre-release copies exclusively from the end of November, see link if you want to be one of the first to get hold of one...

I was pleased to see that despite your problems with the printer, Geoff, my books were dispatched today. On clicking on the tracker I was disappointed to see that the courier had failed to pick up the books! Hermes reputation has fallen even further in my estimation. The Post Office works quite well around here, unlike Hermes who a lot of people complain about.

Ha, same here!
Hermes 'round here are 'interesting' often saying things have been delivered when they haven't... Only for then to turn up in our outbuildings in the middle of the night.

The books should have been picked up yesterday, but the courier failed to turn up. He arrived today, looked into our hallway, and said he was going to have to empty his van before he could pick them up. Not ideal, but the books have gone, and will start arriving tomorrow. I'm guessing CLV and Ken will get them the next day.
As for the printer/print manager..that is a long story that I am already tired of telling. All I can say is to avoid middle-men whereever possible.

Mine arrived yesterday and I managed a quick glimpse before it was whisked away for Christmas. Looked really good.

You're welcome. I'll be interested to hear your opinions on the first two chapters when you've had some time to read them.

Re: First look inside my new book if anybody is interested...
The second book arrived this morning thanks, UE. I've read the first chapter and the content is very similar to The Human Planet: How we Created The Anthropocene by Lewis and Maslin which I read a couple of years ago. The chapter is a very good summary of several good books which I have read over the years and hopefully it might prompt people to read further into the subject, subjects. I agree completely with what you have written.
That book got whisked away as well so I will have to wait until after Christmas to read the second chapter in my own copy!!
