I would propose posting suggestions for books as christmas gifts generally and also a secret santa suggestion for another forum member.
A good friend, concerned at my apparent lack of concern about my personal cyber security, gave me a copy of “The Permanent Record” by Edward Snowden last Christmas. It is an engaging and informative read and so well put together that I suspect it may have been ghost written. There remains a mystery at the end of it and that is what exactly led to Snowden transitioning so thoroughly from unquestioning, post 911, wannabe GI Joe to evangelical, fugitive secret super spreader? Highly recommended.
As for a secret santa choice I would propose "The Machine Stops” by E.M. Forster, published in 1909, for UE.
