William Gibson 2014. He introduces the idea of a drawn out apocalypse- 'the Jackpot' starting sometime mid 21st century with the two narratives set either side of it. Doesn't explicitly reference peak oil but is very much there alongside climate change (as it was all the way back in Neuromancer). Definitely a lot of 'meta news' exploration too, from the man who foresaw reality TV all those years ago.
Definitely worth a read, if a bit grim in its overall premise.
