Strange to see the Bellamy quote on the cover though since Pearce doesn't sound like a climate change sceptic from the interview!

Yes a recommendation from Bellamy would be an instant turn-off for me.

Interestingly on Countryfile the other day there was an article on proposals for the Severn Barrage (the Welsh Assembly are seriously considering it) and guess who were the people opposing it (on the programme)? RSPB. Again.

I ordered that river book - will report back in a couple of weeks. Seems quite timely with the droughts in the South East.
