Australia (technically just the eastern part as the west is a separate grid) sets a record exceeding 6000MW of wind generation for a few minutes. It was very windy yesterday.
Good news for the, at the moment, not so lucky country. More wind is being installed and an offshore site called Star of the South is being talked about.
