F*cking hell this is ridiculous...

I dont think we humans could burn oil any faster if we tried!

One thought about the airplane industry , as far as I understand it a % of a barrel of oil has to be kerosene.

In other words, when oil is down to 40 mpd from 85mpd , there still be a fixed % of that which will be kerosene.

So ironically we may still have the fuel in the future for a substantial amount of air travel in the future(although al lot less than today), even when there are shortages of all sorts of more important things everywhere!

Is this right?

Kerosene was/is also used for home heating fuel but not so much now as many went over to cheap gas. It was light oil. Diesel was heavy oil.

Still the main heating fuel in Japan.
