The MP3 Hybrid works on four power modes selected from a button on the handlebar. ‘HYBRID CHARGE’ uses the internal combustion engine and recharges the battery on the go, sapping a little power along the way. ‘HYBRID POWER’ propels the bike with both internal combustion and electric engines, so it feels more like a 400cc than a 300cc, with the best fuel consumption in class. ‘ELECTRIC’ uses power from the battery, and ‘ELECTRIC REVERSE’ lets you reverse feet-up into small parking spaces with the suspension locked.

MP3 Hybrid
Looks fun and economical. Two motorcycle GP riders tested the non-hybrid version a while back. They were impressed, apparently. They went round bends on wet roads and tried to get the front wheels to slide, but couldn't. Safer than two wheels. I think they're selling well in Europe, but hairy-chested British bikers may shun them. City commuters may consider them, but at £8000.00, the price is eye-watering.

'An energy storing, integrated charge management system. Ride for up to 300 km on a single charge thanks to the top-of-the-line, high-density battery -- built to last for the life of the bike. A powerful electric motor and CVT transmission. Experience the power of going 0-200 km/h with zero clutch and phenomenal torque that makes you feel like you're flying on the road'.
The price? A cool Canadian $42,399.

Could the hybrid scooter be driven lawfully on a motorcycle license ?
It is equiped with electric reverse, which might mean that a car licence is needed.
I though that a motorcycle was defined in law as a vehicle with 2 or 3 wheels and NO REVERSE GEAR. That is why the Robin Reliant 3 wheelers could be used on a bike licence, provided that the reverse gear was disabled. If the reverese gear was available, then I believe that a car licence was needed for the same vehicle.
