BBC News - 08/04/11

The Netherlands has developed an electric "super bus" that can carry 23 passengers and reach a top speed of 250km/h.

Being shown at a trade fair in Dubai. Does that mean it will soon be on the 460 route from Carmarthen to Cardigan. Or maybe it's just "public transport" for rich people :roll:.

Now that is just silly. You have all the advantages and long term sustainability of a, potentially, solar powered bus and then you blow it all by driving the thing at unsustainable speeds. You use ludicrous amounts of power going at that sort of speed. The same goes for high speed trains.

Having just looked at the video, it's not a bus it's a super stretch limo. They're going for the Hummer market in the US and China.:twisted:
