Jam-beating cars for hire by the hour in Cardiff

A £120,000 public car hire scheme is set to be launched in a bid to stop traffic congestion choking the capital.

Ten low-emission vehicles that can be hired out by the hour will be located in and around the city centre from October.

Cardiff council said they hope the cars, provided by a company called City Car Club, which runs similar initiatives in other UK cities, will encourage families to give up second cars freeing up spaces and easing jams across the capital.
