I want one!

Our transport is heavily oil-based. What are the alternatives?

0-60 in 4.5 seconds, top speed 150mph and an electric motor in each corner. Totally insane. Might even convert Jeremy Clarkson from his obsession with the internal combustion engine. I want one.

Best of all it's totally British!
( um... except that the Mini marque is now owned by BMW)

My preference would be for a 2CV with a fairly similar component set,

but cutting the top speed requirement from 150 to 55mph,

and letting the low kerb-weight cut the BHP from >640 to 30,

and swopping the battery charger for a methanol tank and DMFC power supply.

Now that would be a transport system China could afford,

particularly given that the first 11 yrs of 2CV models are now out of patent . . .

Regards,

Bill

Do you know any secret methods to make DMFC without using platinum? Have you done any basic math on the number of Chinese vs the amount of available platinum? Do you have any ideas about how much fossil fuel is required to mine and refine platinum?

I'm starting to suspect that you, Sir, are a technofixer in disguise!
