I love that transatlanting "can-do" attitude!

Anyway even if they can't get it strong or reliable enough for the open road, the area of driveways/pavements in the U.S. is still enormous. A solar driveway with embedded led lights might really catch on!

Get rid of the cars, and build cycle paths instead. In hilly areas, provide charging facilities for electric bikes at the bottom of hills :D.

My thoughts precisely (about the M25). But people's driveways are usually empty during the day.
