Who's up for some mulled wine in Manc then?

Arrange a meet-up, start a community or tell us about an event in the area.

Just wanted to say how I really appreciate your efforts on this board for the North West PS community, I've learned so much from everyone here and would love to discuss wood burners with you over a bratwurst but..
MrBridge is so far into denial or just scared to think too deeply about things that there's no chance, I know not to push the issue :(

hehe, I've been on your website so I know what you look like.. if you see a middle aged woman, with bratwurst, staring at you (the eyesight's going!), who knows, It might be me!

Hey Andy, I think you've got another fan ;)

A sneaky beer and something to eat at the European market sounds tempting.
I was about to respond to your orignal offer, but the wording would have had us meeting somewhere very different.... :)

Shame, shame . . . I sampled the bratwurst only today and I can tell you it's well up to scratch! :D

It's always great to meet fellow PS'ers in the North, maybe given another 12 months Mr Bridge will have come round a bit, when he begins to see the sense you are talking to him.

I will hope to meet you both at some stage, maybe next year, fingers crossed, or this year if you can twist his arm. Us doom and gloomers have to stick together. :D

Don't care where . . . as long as there's beer.

Hello Powerswitcherz

I'm up for the Manchester "let's-get-pissed-because-any-excuse-will-do" plan.

It's been a bit of a fallow period for us peak-oilers, due to the drop in demand resulting from world-wide recession, but we all know that our time will come...... let's drink to that!

From my perspective, not this weekend (5-6 dec), however pretty much any time afterwards.

Cheers, Chris

Hi Andy / anyone else who's thinking of coming along.

Yes I can make Saturday 12th afternoon, just remembered I have a party to go to that day which starts fairly early (so I need to leave about 7:00PM and have a modicum of drinking capacity left.....) however that all seems to fit together pretty well.

Cheers

Chris

Sounds like a good plan, but weekends are a bit of a pain for me - we were at the markets yesterday though (family in tow) and it was great fun.

Won't be able to make it unfortunately, I'm working every weekend til Jan now. :( Still, it's probably for the best, considering my low tolerance to alcohol.

Have fun!

Shame, Jackie, it would have been nice to see you.

I will be down there this Friday afternoon in any case, if that's any better for everyone at all?

As it happens I'm not working Friday, that's actually a better schedule for me.
