Jeff Bezos's space firm Blue Origin is suing Nasa over a decision to award a $2.9bn (£2.1bn) lunar lander contract to Elon Musk's SpaceX.

The former DODGY TAX AVOIDERS boss's firm said there were "fundamental issues" with the deal, calling it unfair.
This is just completely insane. There's no good reason to go back to the moon in the first place, and Jeff Bezos has already offered to give NASA $2bn because he's so desperate to be involved. Now he's suing because it is unfair??

There's so much money sloshing around at the very top, that all trace of what passes as rational thinking has been replaced by a strange world where Alice (sorry, Jeff) is well and truly through the looking glass. A completely new set of rules apply.

I'm surprised that no one has thought of taxing some of that money off them!

I am in general in favour of scientific advances and increasing human knowledge, including spaceflight.
The present squabbles are unedifying but do suggest that space flight is becoming mainstream and therefore WORTH legal arguments.

Whilst space flight does at present have little relevance to everyday life, this has been true of almost all scientific advances.

Electric light= "will never be affordable for the poor"
Railways= "too expensive, and the rush of the wind will suffocate passengers at more than 25 MPH"
Telephones= "not needed, we have plenty of messenger boys"

And so on. Almost every advance has been criticised before becoming mainstream.
