Death for sharks

Long ago societies used to provide sacrifices for such creatures (maybe not sharks per se), perhaps we should resurrect the belief system that supported this. After all it's no more ridulous than believing in everlasting economic growth.

We should really ban vending machines. They kill more people than sharks.

I don't have the organisational skills or time to start a campaign.
As an aside I am in Northern Territory at the moment on a job. Unfortunately it is another fossil fuel monstrosity but there are no renewable projects in the pipeline at the moment.

Humans here are not at the apex of the food chain. Instead the saltwater crocodile is, and maybe the shark too. Driving around the coastal suburbs of Darwin i noted that the beaches are pristine and perfect. No one goes on them due to the risk of a salt water crocodile eating you. Its a big push back by nature against human encroachment on their territory.

I think I have swum in the sea twice in a decade and don't do it as a leisure pursuit. I am not sure what damage surfers do on their own but I think they are part of the problem and not part of the solution.

I may do another post on the storm damage to coastal housing in Sydney if no one has done one already.
