Turks "invade" Iraq

Post by kenneal - lagger »

If what this article says in its final paragraphs is true this could represent a welcome about turn in Turkish policy.

If the Turks are indeed training Peshmurga forces, the forces of the Kurds in Iraq, it could be the start of a reconciliation between the Turks and their own Kurds. Up until now they have been, if not attacking the Peshmurga, disrupting their support and actions.

Or the article could have got it wrong and the Turks are attacking the Peshmurga. It would seem to be a small force for that though.
