If you're wearing a mask you'll do things that you wouldn't usually do. It's the same on internet forums; the anonymity brings out the worst in people sometimes.
With the proposed cuts in police numbers now would be a good time to get the police onside. A protest against police cuts and austerity would be a good idea!

The more violent civil unrest, the better. If it gets violent enough, I'll be joining it..kenneal - lagger wrote:If you're wearing a mask you'll do things that you wouldn't usually do. It's the same on internet forums; the anonymity brings out the worst in people sometimes.

Wall against backs. That is what it is going to take in order to get those at the top to stop their ransacking of the rest of society.
You think they will be persuaded by polite rational political argument?
The police had been warning that this event would turn violent.
However, I think it is a reaction to the extreme monitoring and intimidation of non-violent and peaceful demonstrations, that people feel the need to hide behind masks in order to protest about something as benign as education.
This is a result of the surveillance state, not a justification for it.

We'll probably never know but that the suggestion of a false flag incident can be made, and taken seriously, speaks volumes about the lack of trust we have in our police and security services.Someone on Facebook wrote:A police car just happens to be parked down a side street unattended during a mass demonstration, no immediate response from the police and there was even enough time to take a photo (see the shot of the masked person posing with a Socialist Worker placard, which is odd in itself). It looks very staged to me. The BBC even reported that the action was an isolated incident that didn't reflect the majority of the marchers.

Taken seriously by whom?biffvernon wrote: and taken seriously
Violent protests and violent events tend to move the debate towards the question of violence rather than anything that people protest about. Gandhi understood this.
Force does not win an argument it wins by the use of force and the first reaction to force is to resist the force.

Exactly so. Which is why some folk within the establishment would very much like a challenging demonstration to become violent. I'm with Ghandi.

It is 290 yards from the main entrance of New Scotland Yard, Metropolitan Police HQ and it's underground parking facility entrance in Dacre Street, less than a three minute walk away.
There would be armed Police officers guarding the Justice building with real time CCTV surveillance all around.
Coincidence that cameramen from Associated Newspapers were on hand to record events so far from the main demonstration.
The Police were very quick on the scene to put out the fire and although the newspaper reports say it was a burnt out wreck, after a new windscreen and a polish I think it will be back on the streets within the week.
The Daily Mail, amongst others, claims it was near Green Park, which is in fact north of The Mall about half a mile away, whereas this is south of the Mall. The location is probably clearly visible from the Commissioner's penthouse office on the 20th top floor of New Scotland Yard and at least half a dozen floors below.

No masks in the G20 protest. But the police still used agent-provacateurs. It makes no difference Ken. A war has already started between the people and the rulers and, as time goes on, both sides will eventually have nothing left to lose. One side already knows that. The other will learn it in due course.kenneal - lagger wrote:This is one of the disadvantages of being masked. The police can just as easily buy a guido mask and wear it while conducting a false flag demo to make the demonstrators look bad.
