Fiddling about with tariff transparency is not going to reduce the price of electricity.

Can't afford to have the heating on now, don't think this is going to help somehow.
Has any privatisation been good for customers?

They should be forced to just charge per KwHr, flat rate. The more you use the more you pay. I would pay more under this arrangement but it would be fair.
I don't want people paying an incorrect "tarrif" to subsidise my usage.

Totally agree. In fact my tarrif is lower once I've used a certain level of units. As I cut down consumption my unit cost effectively rises.

Agree. I once spent some time working abroad, and the rate was low for the first X number of Kw/hrs, then rose once you used more, i.e. discouraged wastefulness.
