Heyup - just to add some fire to the "swine flu compulsory vaccinations" topic...and the whole depopulation thing:

UPDATE:
A second man has died of pneumonic plague in a remote part of north-west China where a town of more than 10,000 people has been sealed off.
UPDATE 2

Now been buried by the BBC - not available on the main page or search.

Its possibly not as important as "2 killed in subway collapse"?

Well apparently it's not such a biggie after all:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pneumonic_plague
Since 2001, the WHO has reported six plague outbreaks, though some may go unreported because they often happen in remote areas. Between 1998 and 2008, nearly 24,000 cases have been reported, including about 2,000 deaths, in Africa, Asia, the Americas and eastern Europe.[1] Most of the world's cases (98%) are in Africa.[1]

Treatable by broad band antibiotics nowadays.
