Damn, I wish they'd chosen a different title for that article - now I can't get that Human League song out of my head...

I wonder how long it'll be before the newspapers just stop endlessely repeating soundbites from these idiots.
I forget the number of times i hear the same old empty promises of this that or the other.
Nothing ever changes. Its likely it never will. Just keep parroting the same old crap. Global Leader, Green Initiative, blah blah blah.
They'll come out with some old balls about Eco whatever and then kill off some kind of grant that allowed the public to do something remotely environmental.

What's interesting is this is the first time I've ever heard the UK government produce a plan designed to tackle peak oil without actually admitting peak oil is real.
And what do the commentators do?
Moan and bitch and say it won't work.
Well here's some news for you Britain: It better work or else you're staring down the muzzle of Argentina in the rain followed by die off.
The good news is this means Brown's handlers (who are no dummies) believe there is a shot and are willing to finance it. Interesting.
