The Bank of England is set to cut interest rates to a record low amid concerns that previous cuts have not helped to revive the economy.

It seems that we've now reached the point where savers are being asked to pay for the party that so many irresponsible people have enjoyed over the past 10 to 15 years.

If I had savings now I would buy house/land/useful stuff.
Metro this morning had various people warning that the present very low prices of
stuff (some of which is actually useful, e.g. bicycles) will start to shoot up soon. And that Blacks/Millets might go to the wall.
