I did, of course, read the article through to the end and because I saw that it was not clear cut I used the word 'maybe'. Did you miss that? Or did you deliberately ignore/forget it as it didn't suit your case?kenneal - lagger wrote: You should read that article through to the end, Biff and you'll see that it is not as clear cut as you make out. It's just another example of you ignoring/forgetting what doesn't suit your case.

Some folk singing the National Anthem is important.
According to verse 3 of the National Anthem Syrians are our brothers, our family.Better invite them all over for Sunday lunch.
Not in this land alone
But be God's mercies known
From shore to shore
Lord make the nations see
That men should brothers be
And form one family
The wide world over

Everyone its seems is your brother except the people of the uk and europe.
http://www.infowars.com/ex-stasi-agent- ... ook-posts/ The germans use former stasi to fine and jail people who don't like their country being handed over to invaders, when you see protests in favour of refugees in germany you need to remember that the government is stopping protests against what they are doing.
This works for a while but then you get things like anders breivik, and all the traitors go
what caused this
why did he just shoot us
why didnt he protest
well in germany maybe because he couldn't

Stop posting propaganda you know to be exactly that.biffvernon wrote:Did somebody say Britain was full up?
Do you want the UK to turn into an overpopulated hell-hole like the Lebanon?
You might, but if you think you've got any right to impose this sort of insanity on the rest of the population, then I think they've got the right to shoot you in the head.
You are destroying this community, and people like you will destroy the political left in the UK. You are empowering the far right. You are a traitor to both your country, and the movement you claim to support.
Jonny, he's all yours. Make sure there's nothing left when you've finished with him.
We (the left, greens) have a gold-plated one-off opportunity to make real change for the better IN THE UK. All you are interested in doing is throwing it away with morally-vacuous gestures that all realists have no choice but to oppose by any means possible. Ultimately, that will include handing power to Jonny and his mates because they are not going to f*** everything up for everybody else like you and other pathetic dreamers are intent on doing.
Your posts make me want to leave this board, and I have more than once taken the decision to do just that because of you. But I am not going anywhere.
Every time you post nonsense like this on this board you will deservedly receive a barrage of criticism/abuse from multiple other members. This is unavoidable. Casual readers and visitors to this forum need to be in no doubt that the vast majority of people here, who understand peak oil and related issues, think that not only are you wrong, but that you are dishonest, dangerous and utterly contemptible.
It is very sad that you persist in attempt to tear this community apart, but it is stronger than you are. Also, very sadly, Jonny belongs here more than you do.

According to the World Bank the area of The Lebanon is 10,230 K^2 while according to Wikipedia and here the area of Cornwall is 3563 K^2. Lebanon is approximately three times the area of Cornwall.
So that map is wrong Biff. Are you going to take it down or am I?

"Only a matter of time" turned out to be less than 24 hours:UndercoverElephant wrote:It is only a matter of time before Croatia also puts up a fence. We have clearly reached a critical moment. The doors to Europe are slamming shut and they will stay shut.Crowds of migrants have scuffled with Croatian police in at least two places along the border with Serbia as they seek to enter the European Union.
They briefly broke through police lines at Tovarnik and Bezdan after hours waiting in full sun.
At least 9,200 migrants have entered Croatia since Hungary closed its border, officials said, blocking the previous land route into the EU.
Croatia's interior minister says the country is "absolutely full".
[snip]
Croatia's president has asked the army to be ready to protect its borders from "the illegal migration"...
You lost the argument, Biff Vernon. You lost because you didn't have a case, just an empty appeal to emotion and a fake morality based on fantasy. Europe must now close its borders in order to prevent the catastrophe that is unfolding elsewhere from destroying civilisation here too.
It's over. Get used to it.
I expect you're right. I honestly thought it would be another couple years and a few million more people, but now seems the borders are closing after mere thousands rather than millions.UndercoverElephant wrote:Europe must now close its borders in order to prevent the catastrophe that is unfolding elsewhere from destroying civilisation here too.

Your are correct with the numbers, which makes the caption on the map a bit rubbish. They should have said Cornwall and Devon, 10,270km^2 but the map is not wrong. I checked by cutting and pasting of Google map keeping the scale constant thus:kenneal - lagger wrote:According to the World Bank the area of The Lebanon is 10,230 K^2 while according to Wikipedia and here the area of Cornwall is 3563 K^2. There will also now be a domino-effect back towards the source. What was Hungary's problem, and has now become Croatia's problem, is about to become Serbia's problem. Migrants passing through your country on the way to somewhere else is one thing; Migrants getting stuck in your country because the next one has closed its border is something else entirely. It will go all the way back to Turkey, in terms of land borders, which will have the effect of redirecting all those people who can't use the land route towards the sea crossing from Turkey to Greece.clv101 wrote:I expect you're right. When Greece gets lumbered with them all I expect them to say no loan repayments unless we get help because we can't afford to do this and pay you back. That will be interesting!
Europe will be forced to organise a distribution then direct from Greece to the recipient country.
It was interesting seeing the problem Italy has with migrants from Libya on the news earlier: prostitution, drug selling and people generally hanging around. Expect a backlash from the Italians soon.
Someone has got to get the propaganda machine going in Africa to tell them that they aren't welcome and Europe isn't some sort of Shangri La with streets paved with gold. And arrest a few people traffickers.

As I demonstrated above, Ken, the map is correct and your statement is incorrect, but leave that aside for the moment and consider your second point. What if the map had been wrong? What if I, or anybody else on PowerSwitch, were to make a statement which is factually incorrect? Is it now policy of PS admin to take down any post that contains a factual error, or even something that is correct but that admin believes to be in error?kenneal - lagger wrote: So that map is wrong Biff. I come on here and am amazed everytime biff wants the uk to be more like the lebanon, one of my sisters old friends was lebanese christian she slept with her eyes open because of childhood experiences in their civil war .
lebanon used to be majority christian saw a shift in demographics largely via immigration and had a civil war now the country is split in religious factions .
To a lebanese what we are doing must look insane, but its basically because they have seen the results of multicultural idiocy
"She dreams of nineteen sixty-nine
Before the soldiers came
The life was cheap on bread and wine
And sharing meant no shame
She is awakened by the screams
Of rockets flying from nearby
And scared she clings onto her dreams
To beat the fear that she might die
And who will have won
When the soldiers have gone
From the Lebanon
The Lebanon
Before he leaves the camp he stops
He scans the world outside
And where there used to be some shops
Is where the snipers sometimes hide
He left his home the week before
He thought he'd be like the police
But now he finds he is at war
Weren't we supposed to keep the peace
And who will have won
When the soldiers have gone
From the Lebanon
The Lebanon

From the Lebanon
I must be dreaming
It can't be true

google images of the lebanese war or the yugoslav war thats what people like you biff are bringing to europe, because at some point people in europe are willing to fight such a war . we already showed that in the yugoslav wars .
