I don't know who RGR is, but all I meant was I'll try and keep my head down if things kick off and will hopefully not be in the UK. I have two other places that I can go in Europe that I think might be far better from a resource and a community point of view.

Cripes

Post by fifthcolumn »

Cripes has this place turned into LATOC since I took the blue pill?

While it's *possible* to imagine all sorts of bad things and link them to the dieoff belief (e.g. the politicians want to off 2/3 of the population via vaccinations because peak oil will kill them all anyway) it's also possible to imagine scenarios that *merely* involve pharma companies making extra money.

How about this imagined scenario:
1. Create a (slightly) lethal flu virus and then release it in Mexico.
2. Create panic via the media
3. Lobby various governments to buy millions of doses of your vaccine
4. Create a pretext for adding adjuvants to your vaccine that cause long term uncurable (but treatable) illnesses of various types.
5. Create a (slightly more) lethal flu virus and then release it *somewhere*
6. Create extreme panic via the media so the masses would rather risk the side effects of the vaccine
7. Make the vaccine *compulsory* so that the vast majority of the population *have to* take it
8. Those who don't vaccinate will take the fallout, cards landing where they may
9. Heh presto: government gets extra tax revenue from large profits of pharma companies and pharma companies make *even bigger* profits down the line from treating all the arthritis, lupus etc etc with very expensive drugs.

See? Don't need to invoke bullshit like olduvai to make a perfectly plausible conspiracy work.

Welcome back Fifth - nice to see you're as calm and polite as ever.

People here are perfectly entitled to speculate on events they regard as suspicious. You are doing so yourself, you just happen to disagree about what the likely root cause is, so there's no need to be so condescending.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't claim to know what is going on with the swine flu vaccine. However the evidence to me points to something more substantial that pharma companies' profiteering (viz. deaths of biologists in particular).

Ah you're offended by me calling olduvai bullshit?
Oh well.

I suppose it's my turn. I'm NOT condescending to you mate. I don't RULE OUT your scenario, I thought of it myself first but there were too many problems.

I just couldn't reconcile how the pharma companies could make any money out of killing people off en-masse. And you have to assume that all the big companies believe that dieoff is coming for the conspiracy to be plausible and even then....

What I came up with is a viable conspiracy to make money. I think it's more likely, however, that they're just incompetent and they want to sell a whole bunch of vaccines whether they work or not.

The deaths of bioligists could be explained easily:
even if you assume that we create a virus which is *less* lethal than normal with the express purpose of instigating a "broken window" scenario, it's *still* illegal.
Given the hysteria about this ludicrously weak virus, can you imagine the outrage if it was definitely proved that this virus was created in a lab and then released in order to make money?
I personally think there would be riots and the pharma companies would be burned to the ground.

And try not to be so touchy.
