Syrian Arab Army moving to the Northeast to confront Turkish forces source

It is not just the Northeast where Kurdish forces have retreated and the SAA have taken over - there are reports that they have taken over Taqba Air Base and will take over Raqqa.
They are also heading towards the oil and gas fields that are east of the Euphrates.
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools - Douglas Adams.

I don't remember where I read this so take it with a grain (rock?) of salt, but according to the article, the SAA is taking over YPG positions in Manbij and other Kurdish-controlled areas as to prevent any further Turkish incursion.

And speaking of the US "withdrawing" troops from Syria, they just redirected them to Iraq... Of course, the Republicans are going to gobble it up and praise Trump for "bringing the troops home", while he just put troops from an imperial war and put them into another one.
