Good thing that wasn't what happened then.vtsnowedin wrote:Yes we will . If we have to..
In their defense we came in late to both world wars and left them to their own devices prior to 1917 and 1941. Coming in to kick the final winning touchdown after the rest of the team has been carted off the field on a stretcher is bad form.

Sometimes it feels like we're all just trip-trapping over your bridge.ReserveGrowthRulz wrote:Oh, we might have come in late to the game in WWI, but WWII in Europe was all about the US and Russians. England would have eventually been starved into submission, and the cheese eating surrender monkeys weren't going anywhere on their own. Dunkirk was the result of what those two were capable of on their own.vtsnowedin wrote:Yes we will . If we have to..

Remember the protests in Europe when Reagan was in office? A million people wanting to freeze nuclear weapons there if memory serves? It didn't take them what, 40 years to be properly conditioned since the end of WWII? Do you think they even appreciate the irony in now letting their natural gas usage be dependent upon those same Russkies?

Well, ever since peak oil became a topic folks don't want to discuss because of the giggles that raising the topic might be met with, I sort of just go where the conversation goes.
