There's nowt as strange as fiction. Doesn't one of Tom Clancy's pre-911 books end with some Islamic fundamentalists hijacking a 747 and flying it into the White House?ziggy12345 wrote:Nice bit of fiction. Aurora, no offense but get a grip!
There is no evidence that Simmons was murdered and he certainly looked a like a clear case of high blood pressure with those ruddy cheeks.
If you seriously think that anybody is targeting us, get real, 99% of the population couldn't care less about peak oil activists and the TPTB know that.

Peace always has been and always will be an intermittent flash of light in a dark history of warfare, violence, and destruction
Beria, you don't know any more than Aurora does, so don't be so sure.Lord Beria3 wrote:Aurora, no offense but get a grip!

Simmons may or may not have been murdered, but his assertions that BP and the US Government were involved in a colossal cover-up were, by any standards, inflammatory. If they happened also to be true, the "need" to shut him up would be pretty compelling.
No one is saying that they know Simmons was murdered, but these things do happen. My own view is that it's a 50/50 likelihood. I'm prepared to be convinced either way if evidence emerges. In the meantime, I find it intriguing but not, in the greater scheme, a subject of great importance.
