Yes he did. PS_RalphW described it as “assualt. “Assualt is occasioned if you think someone may harm you. In this case according to the woman’s statement she did not expect anyone to harm her. Consequently this was an “attack. Either an assualt or an attack is not permitted under the rules in this country. Whether you like it or not.Lord Beria3 wrote:He did nothing wrong.
Would have been wiser to call security but that's that.
As for “security obviously there was none, or all those people would never have got into the building. All the protesters also did something wrong as they did not have permission to be in the building, and I doubt they even asked for permission.

This is all over everywhere except the BBC, who apparently don't want to touch it.Police were called to the home of Boris Johnson and his partner, Carrie Symonds, in the early hours of Friday morning after neighbours heard a loud altercation involving screaming, shouting and banging.
The argument could be heard outside the property where the potential future prime minister is living with Symonds, a former Conservative party head of press.
A neighbour told the Guardian they heard a woman screaming followed by “slamming and banging. At one point Symonds could be heard telling Johnson to “get off me and “get out of my flat.
The neighbour said that after becoming concerned they knocked on the door but received no response. “I [was] hoping that someone would answer the door and say ‘We’re okay’. I knocked three times and no one came to the door.
The neighbour decided to call 999. Two police cars and a van arrived within minutes, shortly after midnight, but left after receiving reassurances from both the individuals in the flat that they were safe.

Bollocks he "lost control".
It is precisely the (potentially dangerous) nonsense with people throwing shit at public figures in recent weeks that excuses his actions. He had no idea what she had on her or what she was going to do. And he did not "assault" her. That is just hyperbolic, hysterical bullshit. He just frogmarched her out the building. So, what? She wasn't supposed to be there. And what would you have preferred him to do, grab her round the waist? He'd have been accused of sexual assault into the bloody bargain.
And, before I am accused of supporting "toxic masculinity" or a Tory for that matter, my saying all of the above has got nothing to do with whether or not I agree with either his or her politics. If someone thinks they can just waltz into a public function and make a twat of themselves and there will be no consequences, then they have to be a bit of a tit.
That doesn't mean I think nobody should do it if they feel they have a strong enough reason. But, if they think they are big enough to do it, then they had better be big enough to take the consequences. And, if they are not, they shouldn't be doing it
Finally, if anyone else thinks that making a bit of a twat of oneself should be consequence free just so long as the twat shares their politics, then I would suggest that needs a bit of deep thinking about as well.
Just what the hell is it about the liberal Left bourgeoisie and petite bourgeoisie that they think they can do what the hell they want in public because they have "virtue" on their side?
It is the politics of infants. It is certainly the politics of people who think they don't have to use the usual democratic channels - again, presumably on the basis of a belief that they have "virtue" on their side. I'd lay money, also, that these are precisely the same kind of people who think a democratic decision can be overturned, again on the basis if their virtuous superiority of judgement.
It's bullshit.
I can't believe I am having to spell this shit out

As far as I can see, no one here has said it was ok for the protesters to be there, let alone doing anything. What was also not ok was Field manhandling the protester, particularly in the way he did.
PS Boris story where the description was “screaming, slamming and banging, isn’t that what Boris does with any available woman?

Actually, I am not saying it was not okay for them to be there. If they felt strongly enough about it and they were minded enough to gatecrash a public function, then it is their right to decide to do so. The rightness or wrongness of such an action will depend on one's political views.
What I am saying however is that if someone elects to do the above, then they should be prepared to face being roughly manhandled. That is not the same as saying they should be prepared to face having the shit kicked out of them. But, that is not what happened to this woman. She was roughly manhandled out of the building for fucks sake.
That's all.
It's like we live in a period of big f***ing babies

Newsnight reporting that Boris Johnson's neighbour recorded the argument last night through the wall, and Johnson's girlfriend accused him of being "spoilt, and you don't care about anything, not even money." Can you Ãmagine if Johnson screws up his own campaign and we end up with *unt as Prime Minister?
This Johnson story is splashed across the front pages of all the newspapers tomorrow.

Irrespective of the caveman views of some posters on this forum, the Mansion House fiasco was a propaganda coup for Greenpeace and fair play to them lasses.
Whatever the reality the optics were brilliant.
Bastion of privileged breached by serious plucky protestors as Mr Burns/lizard/alien like chancellor drones on and on to rich climate destroying toffs. Mask slips and archetypal gammon misogynist bully tory minister (and no doubt wife beater many will think) takes it out on women protester daring to invade posh space.
She maintains dignity and later merely complains he has anger management problems whilst he burbles the usual unconvincing and insincere sounding excuses.
Later it begins to emerge that the protest had not been unexpected after all........

I don't agree. I think this looks really bad. However, Mark Field is not a senior MP and he will just hide on the backbenches for a while. The Johnson story is potentially more relevant.Lord Beria3 wrote:She's a twat.
Most ordinary voters have no time for these green activists and their stupid stunts.
