Oil prices plummet - down 30% at their nadir.

Currently down around 25% - will be some sort of concerted institutional buying of stocks at these levels
A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools - Douglas Adams.

What a time for Russia to get into a whizzing contest with Saudi Arabia. This is a temporary thing and all they both had to do is cut their production by as much as world demand is temporarily depressed to keep their prices up on what they can sell.

Yes if it lasts more then three months.
Might be some government money used to keep them afloat and US production up. It will take them a while to figure out what to do as right now everyone is working on delivering test kits etc.

Nope. Fever broke last night with the help of aspirin. Symptoms now are just a bad chest cold with muscle aches. I will continue to stay home to not give it to friends.
Watching the markets collapse on the TV.

US E&Ps are going to be clobbered as well. "Frackers" as in the service companies that actually do completions, have been down this road many times before. They'll lay off everyone they can get their hands on, and ride it out just as they have all the times before.

hope you are well VT. If, by any chance, it is the Virus, check for a sudden resumption of symptoms a few days down the line after it seems to have gone. If that does not happen, you aint had it. Good fortune to you and yours big man.

Yah that is the advice I got from my source at the CDC. Of course the common cold usually annoys you for two full weeks. Right now I just feel like I've been dragged through a knot hole backwards with a hacking unproductive cough and runny nose. Typical cold.

Nah. I did enough camping and hitchhiking when young, nowadays it is an efficient sedan and hotel rooms.
