Al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden is dead

I'm think the world is a better place for his demise.
The first reason is the middle east, having their 'organic' revolution will hopefully make it a better place. The ordinary people will have a genuine choice to tred a different path of muslim radicalism. They will by the power of 'tint'net be able to charge european prices for goods and services they provide without the corrupt elite taking all their wonga and giving sweet FA in return. It's a bit like green hippies opening B&B's and charging the going rate for the rooms and simultaneously denounce capitalism as destroyer of worlds. They Janus facially take advantage of all the fiat money expansion and then boast that they usurp the market economy by providing meat free breakfasts.
Secondly. I am starting to believe the al qaeda are trying to bump me off. I had planned to take the family to Madrid for a few days, however, circumstances dictated that the trip went to New York. Whilst we were there the Madrid train bombs went off.
A week before the London bus bombings I had a meeting in the bar of the County Hotel, parallel to St Pancras church, Euston. The bomb went off outside the BMA about 20 yards up the road.
Guess where I was January? Marrakech.
So, personally I believe i'm safer with him gone.

Apparently she was deliberately put in the way of harm, if you believe that for a second.biffvernon wrote: I wonder who the woman was. Did she have a name? Did the soldiers bother to ask? Was her body returned to her family?

Shame we can't ask her for her honest point of view on the situation really. Might have been a damn sight more interesting than what's on the news.

I have firmly come to the view that human beings will do whatever they feel like doing regardless of what their religion teaches, and have no problem with the contradiction. So the argument that most of the world's problems are due to religion doesn't ring true.biffvernon wrote:My point was that this law is a rather fundamental part of the three Abrahamic religions, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. It occurs throughout much of the eastern religions too.Ludwig wrote: But where does this law come from? It is certainly not one recognised in all cultures.
And yet we see God-fearing Americans dancing in their streets at the news that their brave soldiers have killed four fellow human beings.
It may have been deemed a necessary action, but the aftermath should be one of sombre reflection not celebration.
I think there was some research done in which 25% of people were shown to question their actions and to be capable of feelings of guilt: the other 75% always feel they're in the right, whatever they do, and use any argument that comes to hand to justify themselves.

Hit full in the face by a photoshop pixel gun. What a way to go.

Not only does it look like him, it looks like the same picture. With some very bad Photoshop airbrushing in the newer one.Doomsday wrote:
Looks like him to me.

Also look how much more sharply defined the gore and the background are than his lower face.snow hope wrote:If that is supposed to be the photo of his death then we are being sold a pup. Same picture Photoshoped - absolutely no doubt...... just look at the mouth.
Mind you, all the sites publishing this photo are saying it's "unverified". We can proabably expect the official photos to be of considerably higher quality!
