I doubt it - we ain't seen nothing yet.

The oil price is one thing - the decimation of currencies has still to happen :\

The world economy collapsed when it hit $147. The economy is in tatters right now so I would think $125-135 would bring it all crashing down again.

It wont get over $150 and as soon as it starts dying down in Libya and Bahrain gold will also take a hit

Cheers

Brent Price has just hit $119. Given the 15 minute delay on the BBC
price it might be a lot higher now...

Expressed in £s is it already at a record? What was the £:$ when it hit $147? I seem to recall $1.90 or so as I was visiting Texas at that time.

near enough $2 to the £. So $147 was about £73. Today
$117 is 1 / 1.62 = £72.

So yes, we are just about back at the peak.

Agreed ludwig - you would be insane to sell gold, only when we go back to a Gold Standard globally maybe.

The dollar has only started to collapse... we are at the beginning rather than the end of the fiat currency die-off/rise of gold and silver story.

Bonny Light and Louisianna Sweet hit $120 spot price.

Libyan crude is light and sweet. Hard to replace.

Expect disel prices to rise faster than petrol for a while...
