I would guess they may have a nuke in their London embassy or other diplomatic property as a last resort nuke.
That's a rather scary guess BDO!! Talk about belt and braces. I wonder what data you base this guess on?

Do you guess the UK embassy in Moscow houses a similar deice?

Reports that there may be survivors from the crash, although I do not know what chances a 70+ year old would have after many hours on an exposed mountain after such an incident There was talk of him becoming the next Ayatola, but there are a lot of possible contenders. The role of president has lost a lot of power in the last 30 years.

Edit

Those reports may be Iranian wishful thinking at this stage

I strongly suspect that cold war russia concealed nuclear bombs in Western embassies, some are probably still there. It therefore seems a reasonable assumption that russian backed islamic extremists did the same.

Adopting a fairly typical Moslem fatalist stance - it was God's will That he should die. So what does that say about God's thoughts on the actions of the Tehran regime? Perhaps they should seriously look at their obviously ungodly policies and actions in view of God's action in prematurely depriving the Prime Minister of his life.

It's a shame that it wasn't Khomeini!
