As has been suggested, there are torches. If you go out and allow your eyes to be come accustomed to the dark, it's surprising how much you can see. I have tried this, and it's not too bad. Lighting in towns is likely to be sufficient just from stray lighting.nexus wrote: What about pedestrians? Particularly in winter?
