Something that really pisses me off is the number of items on news bulletins that end with "the markets have responded by..." or "this caused markets to (whatever)..." - I take a dog for a walk, the markets throw a wobbler.stevecook172001 wrote:And yet we treat "market reaction" as some kind of ******* oracle.
Time to dismantle these parasitic usurers' sordid nests.

Exactly. It's always "Let's see how the markets have reacted". If the bloody markets knew what was good and what was bad surely they'd have managed to communicate it to the government by now.emordnilap wrote:Something that really pisses me off is the number of items on news bulletins that end with "the markets have responded by..." or "this caused markets to (whatever)..." - I take a dog for a walk, the markets throw a wobbler.
Every time I read "FTSE down 3%" I know that another parasite has made a killing at the expense of some pension fund managed by a dimwitted time-serving unimaginative fund manager.
I'm sure most people don't realise that the market must go up and down in order for the parasites to take their slice and they much prefer it to do so at their command.
I can feel my blood pressure going up again.

Markets - up one day, down the next, up the next day, down the following day. Simple, but a load of old bollocks. Who is morally bankrupt enough, to want to play that game? Greed is what it is all based upon and not a useful product is made out of it. Just WE ARE DODGY betting - not even with chips or notes, but electronic digits.
Making money from bets on stocks or shares or shorts or longs on anything you can think of, most often never even purchased. Me thinks the *ankers and stock brokers came up with a very cunning plan to steal without breaking into houses or banks - but still the same thing isn't it!!
Greedy *astards.
(Sorry - in pretty sh1t mood with the world we have created.

I haven't created nothing, the present system was around long before i was even born. There is nothing i could or can do to change the system, so no i don't agree with "the world we have created", we haven't created anything. There is nothing anyone on this board could do or could of done to stop the present system from happening.

Not quite, though I appreciate what you're saying, hodson. It's like me saying, "You lot voted Cameron in" when in fact, only a handful on this board actually voted Conservative. It's still true in a broad sense.hodson2k9 wrote:Theres that word again WE.snow hope wrote:

I voted in our abominable government, because I didn't do enough to stop them getting in. There's only so much you can do, but I - and all the other people who didn't want them in power - could have done much more.
So yes, you're quite right, you can't take responsibility for the past mistakes of others - but you can do something about them now. You are the 'we'.

You use the NHS.
You use the educational system.
You probably use a bank.
You purchase products from abroad.
You probably own a car and use use fossil fuels to cook and heat your home.
You are probably surrounded by products made from plastic many of which contain expensively processed, rare minerals.
Shall I go on?
You take my point.
We are ALL complicit. No man is an island.
You, like so many other folk in this world, seem happy to indulge without accepting your fair share of the blame for the mess we're in and the global shit storm that's about to descend.
Time to grow up my friend.
Like?... I don't really see what you could of done to stop conservative gaining power tbf.emordnilap wrote:

Yes but in the grand scheme is there really anything we can do? I mean we can try spread the message as much as we can (which im sure most of us do) but that's not and never will be enough. So yes, you're quite right, you can't take responsibility for the past mistakes of others - but you can do something about them now. Its not even as if there is any alternative to BAU being offered. All the main parties although they differ slightly, are deep down just the same. And the smaller parties haven't got a hope while mainstream media only promotes the big parties, and even if they did most of them again aren't offering an alternative to BAU.
