I particulary like the delicious irony in the fact that as a taxpayer I own part of RBS who not only finance the firms who build and maintain Trident but also finance Vnesheconombank (VEB) the Russian development bank who finance Sevmash, the company who make Dolgorukiy - Putin's own version of the Trident subs.
So we can be confident that these weapon systems will continue to be built on both sides as we all profit from them, but they will never be used as a nuclear winter would damage profits.
Isn't capitalism wonderful
