Good Day,
Can we try to arrange a meet, may be Bristol, some time in the next few months.
As there is the London PO meet in early October which I hope to attend and having spoken at the South London PO Day recently I think it may be an idea to meet after early October.
Not only will we ten be able to share what took place at those meetings but we may be able to find some way forward to actually start something in the South West.
There must be many who read these sites and forums but do nothing. It would be nice to see a little action. can we please get started as, not so much my life, I am too old, but the life of future generations will be helped greatly by what we do now.
BTW I am down in Taunton.
Best Wishes

Certainly! We had a meeting in Bristol a few weeks ago which went pretty well but it's definitely time for another, with more of a focus on action.
Regarding London, I hope everyone will be at the London Conference. A lot of people will be in the area so we should be able to arrange something along side the conference.
What do you have in mind for the Bristol meeting? A few hours in a pub or something more formal?

All depends where you are at present. To be honest I think it time to move on from things like ?this is peak oil? and what we need are alternatives. They will not be in time or viable if they are found.
We have to accept now that it too late to for any plan ?B?, not that there is or likely to be any plan ?B? anyway.
We will end up with a massive die off because we can not support the numbers we now have, which will go on increasing for the foreseeable future anyway
My presentation on systems and dependencies recently has I notice be put on some web sites. Some of the comments made on it have astounded me. Some seem to be in denial that a systems collapse could happen. It is a question of power, mainly electric, but also the fuel to physically move items round the country, including food.
We need to start looking realistically at what the future may hold and I don?t really think a pub is the best place unless you can get the landlord to let you have the use of the snug for a few hours, with a bit of beer, so that you have quiet and don?t get ear wagers.
Ear wagers who don?t agree can get nasty, thanks to the booze.
May be to discuss what we could do to help ?educate? those who do come to realise the have a problem on what they can do to help themselves and there families. Yes, we still need to get the word out but I think it is time we started to move a bit further forward.
If some one wants to set a meet up, I?ll come.
BUT I am away in Scotland from 9th Sept. until 27th.

Bristol meeting
Yes, we should do some kind of public meeting in Bristol.
