Hydrogen-powered furnace at Stanlow

Is the proposed 'Hydrogen Economy' going to save the human race or is it all an energy sink that provides no viable answer?

Hydrogen-powered furnace at Stanlow

Post by Mark »

Hydrogen-ready furnace heading to Essar's Stanlow refinery:

Running off hydrogen from 2026, it should further reduce Stanlow’s CO2 emissions by 11%....
How does that work out.....?
Or is it some 'jiggery pokery' on the figures from using 'blue' hydrogen ?

Probably just Greenwash and an attempt to further the use of hydrogen so that blue hydrogen, and therefore fossil fuel, has a much longer market presence.

Or is that too cynical?
