This random thought occurred to me the other day: what percentage of the drinking water consumed in large cities comes from bottled water (i.e. Evian, Vittel, water coolers, etc...)?
Presumably it's all currently trucked in from plants outside the big cities?if a petrol shortaged cut off such deliveries, how would the extra burden affect the water utilities?
Not to mention the waste of buring oil to move a liquid that's also pumped to the same place...
