There is a growing interest in newly built but traditional style burial mounds, See here for a newspaper report. https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyl ... ry-britain
This got me thinking about other possible uses, including living space. No normal person wants to live in the dark, but perhaps a small stone built and earth sheltered structure could be used as an addition to an earth sheltered home.
Useful for storage whilst times are normal, and as a shelter in war or other emergency.
Wine, beer, and some foods would store well at a low and even temperature. Valuables could be concealed.
Totaly fire proof. Storm proof. Gives protection against radiation and EMP.
Modern burial mounds, possible other uses.
