Anyway for that price for heirloom varieties you cant go wrong. I have just ordered my 100 packets. A cheap and valuable prep.

Just wondered if anyone had had good experiences with Seedfest? I'm starting my garden this.. well, okay... next year, and was feeling quite tempted by this. I got all excited when I read it and everything!

I paid with a PayPal account so I assume I am covered if I don't get them. Reading your link Sally, a poster in that thread said they had used them with no probs and the seeds germinated and grew well. Anyway I will let you know if and when I get them.

Have you tried Realseeds?

I bought the "Kitchen Garden Collection" from them for 18.49 GBP as a Christmas present for someone (and got one for myself too).

No problems with delivery whatsoever - very fast in fact. I've seen Realseeds recommended elsewhere on this forum (Was it Andy?) so I imagine they're pretty good.

I have got some myself, and the ones I've grown so far have been great.

I saw them on someone else's thread though - can't remember who. Might have been on INEBG.

Hmm. Well, now that I've googled Seedfest myself, I think that I will not go with them. It seems a bit of a gamble. Some seem to have had really excellent service from them. Others seem to have repeatedly just not received their seeds. As I don't know which way it would go for me, I think I will probably buy everything from Realseeds instead. I keep hearing that they're really great. And they're based in the UK.

Another vote for Real Seeds. That's where I stocked up! Can't wait til next year now!

Have a go at it, and enjoy all the failures and successes, the latter will eventually outweigh the former! I only started recently and I'm having great fun, though I don't seem to have produced much yet . I recommend starting with peas and carrots, simply because they're interesting plants to observe, regardless of whether or not they eventually produce anything edible!

Another vote for RealSeeds here. Very good service from them. Yet to try the seeds of course. That pleasure to begin imminently.

I don't know about the service, but I got a few packets of seeds for Christmas last year from a friend from Real seeds.

I then gave a friend half of the seeds from each packet. The germination rate was almost 100% so I shared out a few of the plants and still had plenty of Romanesco, sprouting Broccoli and Chillis for us.
