People using rivers for recreation are going down with various sewage related problems all over the country. There is an epidemic of sewage related diseases but no one will talk about it because it would mean either a cessation of dividend payments to water company shareholders, a huge increase in water charges or a combination of both.
This also highlights the fraudulent activity of directors who load their companies with debt and pay out huge bonuses to executives and equally huge dividends to shareholders rather than investing in their companies, both of which are rife in the water industry in this country.

Paul Whitehouse and Fergal Sharkey care about the rivers, there is two lads who'll do for me. Utilities need renationalising as a matter of urgency.
