Does anyone know which animal feeds available in sacks are safe/good for people to eat?
Note: many feeds contain lots of tiny plastic fragments, as one of the ingredients can be outdated shop bread .. where the wrapping hasn't been completely removed from the bread.

Rolled oats are sold for pigs, I guess you could make porridge from them.

Any agricultural feed supplier. We use Mole Valley, a farmers cooperative.

I would strongly advise against the human consumption of animal feed whilst times are more or less normal. It is produced to lower standards. Sometimes it is food that was originally for human use but that suffered contamination, or gone out of date.
Certainly worth considering after TEOTWAWKI, eating lower quality food is a lot better than starving.

I bought a bag of oats last year. I will have to feed it to the animals and buy a fresh one as it wasn't used.
